The Pass (1998)
En pleine crise de la quarantaine, Charles Duprey décide d'aller flamber au casino de Reno pour le week-end afin de décompresser. Sur la route il évite de justesse une voiture en panne. Après réflexion, il accepte de conduire le propriétaire, Hunter, jusqu'à la ville la plus proche... Mais au fil des kilomètres, son inquiétude augmente face à cet inconnu. A l'hôtel où il s'arrête pour la nuit, Charles fait la connaissance de Zeena, une jolie serveuse. C'est alors que l'auto-stoppeur psychotique surgit; l'attaque et menace de le tuer. Obligé de fuir ce cauchemar, il réalise que sa rencontre avec le cinglé n'est peut-être pas accidentelle et que pour la première fois dans sa vie, il se doit d'agir... Il va alors découvrir une partie de lui-même, violent et dangereuse...
