Génériques, magazines, logos, pochettes de disques… Nous avons tous eu sous les yeux le fruit du travail d’Étienne Robial, sans nécessairement le savoir. Créateur de génériques, éditeur de magazines, concepteur de logos, graphiste, Étienne Robial est à la fois un « caractère » au sens premier du terme : un homme de caractère et aussi « une signature ». Le film retrace son parcours éclectique et explore son activité foisonnante de directeur artistique, typographe, professeur et in-fine de passeur d’images et de textes.
