Pays de glace et de feu, l'Islande possède la plus grande concentration de volcans au monde. Ses paysages, constamment modelés au gré des éruptions, en font un territoire parsemé d'indices sur la formation de notre planète et son évolution. La biologiste Bénédicte Menez, le géologue Charles Frankel et le photographe Olivier Grünewald en arpentent les régions les plus actives.
