Sling Blade (1996)
Karl, jeune attardé mental maltraité par ses parents, fanatiques religieux, surprend un jour sa mère avec son amant. Persuadé qu'ils font quelque chose de mal, il les tue. Interné dans un asile pour criminels, il est libéré vingt-cinq ans plus tard contre son gré. Il est engagé comme réparateur et devient l'ami de Frank Wheatley, la premiere personne à l'accepter. Frank convainc sa mère, Linda, de l'accepter chez eux.
