Sirènes (1994)
Anthony Campion est un prêtre anglican plutôt libéral dans l'Australie des années 30. Il est assigné à une curieuse mission : rencontrer l'artiste Norman Lindsay afin de le convaincre de ne pas exposer ses dernières oeuvres, surtout "La Vénus Crucifiée", une jeune femme nue sur une croix. La rencontre est courtoise mais ferme : Lindsay ne se pliera pas aux exigences de l'évêque de Sydney. Et curieusement, au lieu de l'entraîner dans son monde, Anthony Campion se laisse charmer par l'univers de l'artiste...
