L'Insoutenable Vérité (2007)
Depuis le décès de son mari, un policier mort en service, l'inspecteur Jamie McDowell a élevé seule Peter, son fils âgé désormais de vingt-trois ans. Chargée d'enquêter sur le meurtre de Kelly, la fille de vingt et un ans de sa voisine et meilleure amie, Jamie découvre que l'assassin n'est pas celui qu'elle soupçonnait. Ce n'est pas Rick, l'ex-petit ami de Kelly, qui est le coupable, mais Peter qui fréquentait la jeune fille depuis quelques semaines.
