Romulus, My Father (2007)
En 1960, des émigrants roumains s'installent dans une région rurale d'Australie. Romulus, Christina et Raimond, leur petit garçon de 9 ans, vivent chichement. L'exil leur pèse, et Christina accuse particulièrement le coup. Elle part vivre en ville avec Mitru, le meilleur ami de Romulus, mais se retrouve rapidement seule et s'enfonce de plus en plus dans la dépression. Romulus tente de soutenir sa femme dans l'épreuve. De son côté, il continue à veiller sur son fils et à l'élever. Quant à Raimond, cette séparation avec sa mère l'aide à comprendre les sentiments qui l'envahissent. Il découvre progressivement que la relation avec sa mère lui est nuisible...
