D.A.R.Y.L. (1985)
Joyce et Andy Richardson recueillent un garçonnet qui erre sur la route. Victime d'un accident de voiture, celui-ci a perdu la mémoire et se souvient simplement de son prénom : Daryl. L'enfant s'adapte rapidement à sa famille adoptive et se lie d'amitié avec Turtle, un voisin. Ses dons pour le base-ball et sa vive intelligence lui valent d'être cité dans le journal local. C'est ainsi que ses vrais parents retrouvent sa trace. L'enfant, manifestement, ne veut pas les suivre. Le couple révèle alors la vérité aux Richardson. Ils travaillent pour une agence gouvernementale et Daryl est un robot conçu pour l'usage exclusif de l'armée des États-Unis...
