Cheyenne (1947)
Le joueur habile James Wylie (Dennis Morgan) est appréhendé par la loi et a la possibilité de renoncer à une peine de prison s'il se fait passer pour un bandit. Sa mission est de découvrir l'identité du poète, un hors-la-loi notoire qui a braqué des diligences appartenant à des banques et laissé des vers sur les scènes de crime pour narguer les autorités. James trouve le temps de courtiser la charmante épouse du poète, Ann (Jane Wyman), qui l'a d'abord ignoré. Mais, au fur et à mesure qu'une romance se développe, ils s'associent pour trouver le voleur.
