Les Forbans de la nuit (1950)
Londres. Harry Fabian, un petit truand paranoïaque et mégalomane, plus ambitieux qu'intelligent, exerce les fonctions de rabatteur pour le compte de Phil Nosseross, patron du Silver Fox, une boîte de nuit du quartier de Soho, à Londres. Dans l'espoir de faire rapidement fortune, il décide d'organiser des combats de lutte gréco-romaine truqués. Un vieux lutteur, le Grand Gregorius, et la femme de son patron, qui tous deux poursuivent leur propre chimère, l'aident à trouver des fonds. Mais Harry s'attaque au monopole de Kristo. Et celui-ci, qui se trouve être le père de Gregorius, n'entend pas que quelqu'un d'autre le concurrence sur ce terrain...
