Verdun, visions d'histoire (1928)
En 1928, Poirier termine son film « Verdun : Visions de l'histoire », un documentaire de fiction sur la bataille de Verdun. Le film a été tourné sur le lieu du carnage. Léon Poirier utilise, pour son film, 10 ans après le conflit, le champ de bataille et les ruines des forts de Vaux et de Douaumont. Les interprètes sont des anciens combattants français et allemands et quelques acteurs professionnels.
