Maria Chapdelaine (1950)
Dans le décor magnifique mais inhospitalier du Grand Nord Canadien, ce mélodrame tiré du célèbre roman de Louis Hémon, met en scène la jeune Maria (sublime Michèle Morgan) de retour au pays, dont la beauté attire tous les prétendants... et déclenche les jalousies. Mais son amour pour un trappeur volage (Philippe Lemaire) tourne au drame.
