Inspiré d’une histoire vraie. Paul est un timide vendeur de téléphones portables, qui espère depuis toujours se consacrer à sa passion : le chant lyrique. Avant de pouvoir réaliser son rêve, il va devoir quitter son Angleterre natale pour une célèbre école de chant à Venise. Ce voyage initiatique l’amènera à rencontrer l’amour, à affronter le regard des autres et surtout à avoir confiance en lui. Suffisamment pour s’inscrire à la nouvelle émission de télévision qui fait sensation, Britain’s got talent…
