Le Texan Chanceux (1934)
Après le décès de son père, Jerry Mason est de retour au Texas afin de reprendre l'affaire familiale. Il découvre un gisement d'or, qu'il va exploiter très discrètement avec un vieil ami de la famille, le grincheux mais adorable Jake Benson. En effet, l'or suscite bien des convoitises, et la région est pleine d'aventuriers prêts à s'enrichir à n'importe quel prix. Mais la nouvelle finit par se répandre, et pour les deux hommes, les problèmes commencent...
