Priscilla, folle du désert (1994)
Felicia et Mitzi, deux travestis australiens, et Bernadette, une transexuelle, doivent se produire à Alice Springs. Entre eux et l'hôtel où ils sont attendus s'étend le désert, immense et aride. Les trois amis ne se laissent pas décourager. Ils achètent un bus, qu'ils baptisent Priscilla, et foncent à tombeau ouvert sur les pistes poussiéreuses. Toutes sortes de rencontres émaillent leur périple. Tantôt ce sont de sympathiques aborigènes, nullement gênés par la situation, tantôt des Blancs, à l'ouverture d'esprit beaucoup plus limitée. Le trio arrive enfin à destination. La directrice de l'hôtel n'est autre que l'ancienne et dynamique épouse de Mitzi...
