La tombe de la momie (1942)
Andoheb, Grand Prêtre de Karnac, n'est pas mort dans l'affrontement qu'il mena contre Stephen Banning, l'archéologue qui profana la tombe de la déesse Ananka et subit les assauts de la momie Kharis. Il lègue le secret de la momie et des feuilles de Tana à un nouveau disciple, qu'il charge d'éliminer tous les membres de la famille de Banning. Le disciple se rend donc en Amérique et devient gardien de cimetière, ce qui lui laisse le temps de mener ses préparatifs. A la pleine lune, il envoie Kharis tuer Stephen Banning. John, le fils de celui-ci, tente de trouver une explication à la mort mystérieuse de son père. Il reçoit bientôt la visite de Babe Hanson, l'ami de son père, qui se trouvait également en Egypte lors de la profanation du tombeau d'Ananka. Babe pense tout de suite à la malédiction de la momie mais les policiers ne croit pas à son histoire. Peu de temps après, c'est la tante de John qui trouve la mort. La vengeance de Kharis ne fait que commencer...
