Madeleine emmène ses enfants dans la jungle africaine pour aller voir son mari Hank, dont elle est depuis longtemps séparée. Hank est un scientifique excentrique qui s'est toujours battu pour la défense d'espèces en danger. Il vit en afrique de l'est, et y a construit une jolie maison. Vivant au milieu de lions, tigres et panthères, tous cohabitent. Jusqu'au jour où la commission de controle vient évaluer le résultat de son travail. Au meme moment un bagarre éclate entre Robbie, le chef de la colonie animale, et l'autre lion Togar.
