Strange Impersonation (1946)
Nora Goodrich, une chimiste experte et dévouée à la recherche, est bien décidée à tester sur elle-même l'anesthésie qu'elle vient d'inventer. Mais après l'avoir injectée, tout commence à mal tourner : son petit ami la quitte, elle est victime de chantage et une explosion dévastatrice lui défigure le visage. Elle subit une opération de chirurgie plastique puis assume l'identité d'un maître chanteur mort.
