Le dernier héros (1973)
En Caroline du nord, Junior Jackson, au volant de sa voiture bricolée avec soin et amour, ne rêve que d'une chose : devenir champion de courses automobiles, et tout particulièrement des courses de stock-car. En attendant, il travaille avec son père, un distillateur clandestin de whisky. Mais, les choses tournent mal et Elroy Jackson senior est arrêté puis jeté en prison. Junior Jackson décide alors d'utiliser son talent de conducteur pour rassembler l'argent nécessaire à la défense de son père. Il entame sa carrière par une course locale.
