Papa longues jambes (1955)
De passage en France, Jervis Pendelton, industriel fortuné vivant aux États-Unis, voit une jeune fille de 18 ans dans un orphelinat dont il tombe immédiatement amoureux. Ne pouvant lui déclarer son amour du fait de leur différence d'âge, il se contente d'être son mécène, lui permettant ainsi de poursuivre ses études en Nouvelle-Angleterre. Trois ans plus tard, ils se rencontrent à nouveau, mais Jervis se garde bien de lui dire qu'il est son bienfaiteur ...
