Closet Monster (2016)
Jeune garçon énergique et imaginatif, Oscar est témoin d’un meurtre à caractère homophobe dans un cimetière du voisinage. Les années passent et il grandit dans le souvenir de cette expérience traumatisante couplée au sentiment d’abandon généré par le départ de sa mère et aux multiples conflits de personnalités avec son père. Grâce à son imagination, au soutien d’un hamster doté de la parole, Oscar parvient peu à peu à faire face à ses démons pour découvrir la vraie nature qui est la sienne. À l’adolescence, Oscar déniche un premier emploi dans une quincaillerie où il fait la connaissance de Wilder, un garçon de son âge étrangement libre et rebelle. Les deux adolescents se lient d’amitié, mais les sentiments d’Oscar pour Wilder deviennent toujours plus confus.
