Jean of the Joneses (2016)
La vie de Jean Jones, 25 ans, et de sa famille Americano-Jamaïcaine - composée de plusieurs générations de femmes de classe moyenne, bornées mais aimantes - est bouleversée lorsqu’un lointain grand-père meurt sur le pas de la demeure familiale en plein repas dominical. Tandis que Jean exhume des secrets familiaux, les tensions et les vieux conflits refont surface. Si les femmes de la famille Jones se confrontent à leur divorce, infidélités et délits passés, Jean fait face à plusieurs vérités : l’échec de sa carrière professionnelle et une handicapante incapacité à se remettre de sa précédente relation alors que l’amour lui tend les bras.
