Oncle Boonmee (celui qui se souvient de ses vies antérieures) (2010)
En Thaïlande, de nos jours. L'oncle Boonmee, un apiculteur d'une soixantaine d'années, souffre d'insuffisance rénale et se prépare à mourir. Il décide de passer les quelques jours qui lui restent dans une ferme située dans les montagnes, entouré de sa belle-sœur et d'un Laotien chargé de lui prodiguer des soins. Un soir, les fantômes de sa femme et de son fils défunts apparaissent à la table du dîner. Ce dernier a pris l'apparence d'un grand singe sombre aux yeux rouges et phosphorescents. Le vieil homme part alors dans la jungle tropicale avec sa famille pour atteindre la mystérieuse grotte qui fut le berceau de sa première existence. Au cours du voyage, ses vies antérieures prennent forme et se rappellent à lui.
