Mega Piranha (2010)
Le secrétaire d’État des USA demande à Jason Fitch, qui fait partie de l’unité des Navy SEALS, d’enquêter sur la mort suspecte d’un ambassadeur américain. Il se rend au Venezuela pour coopérer avec le lieutenant Audante et le colonel Diaz de la Force armée nationale. Là, il va rencontrer Sarah Monroe, chercheuse spécialisée en génétique. Elle, et le biologiste Eli Gordon, ont découvert des preuves étranges, qui après une analyse dans leur laboratoire révèlent un terrifiante nouvelle. Des poissons carnassiers génétiquement modifiés sont à l’origine de bien des dégâts, et cette espèce profite d’une croissance exponentielle, qui lui permet de doubler de taille toutes les 36 heures !
