Chassé-croisé (1993)
Brian McVeigh, courtier en bourse, est un rustre, un peu plat et vulgaire. Il va se marier mais ne peut se résoudre à quitter tout à fait sa coquette garçonnière de Greenwich Village. Pour amortir les frais, il sous-loue l'appartement à deux personnes, à raison de deux jours chacune par semaine. Cet arrangement convient à Sam Lester. Récemment plaqué par sa petite amie, il habite un appartement sale et surpeuplé. La deuxième locataire, Ellen Holder, travaille dans un cabinet dentaire. Les trois locataires ne se rencontrent jamais, mais correspondent en se laissant des petits mots...
