A New-York, la vedette d'un spectacle nautique reçoit dans sa loge un garçon qu'elle ne reconnait pas tout de suite. Puis elle se souvient. Elle l'avait soigne dans un hôpital militaire, et il avait chanté pour elle. Ils tombent amoureux, mais sa passion lui fait oublier qu'il est le fils d'un grand ténor, et déjà fiancé...
