Qui a tué Vicky Gilmore ? (1991)
Pour Susan Essex, la vie n'a de sens qu'auprès de son époux Matthew et de sa fille Justine. Le jour où Matthew est surpris en flagrant délit d'adultère, Susan décide de le quitter. Désemparée, elle tente de se rapprocher de sa fille mais Justine, en pleine crise d'adolescence, la rend responsable du départ de son père. Un nouveau coup manque de l'abattre. Une amie de sa fille est assassinée au lycée. Les premiers éléments de l'enquête sont accablants. Justine qui, peu de temps avant le crime, avait eu une violente altercation avec la victime, fait figure de suspect numéro un. Loin de se conformer à l'opinion générale, Susan est bien déterminée à prouver l'innocence de sa fille.
