Un mariage de raison (2009)
Leah perd son mari, Benjamin, un rabbin orthodoxe de Brooklyn. Elle veut aller à l'université et s'émanciper un peu. D'un côté, sa mère et une marieuse lui cherchent un nouvel époux et de l'autre, l'ancienne tradition du Lévirat est suivie, de façon symbolique. Jake, le frère célibataire du défunt, doit épouser sa veuve. Alors que Leah et Jake allaient divorcer, ils changent d'avis. Leah va vivre à Washington avec Jake, en fausse épouse et vraie colocataire. La situation se complique quand ils doivent gérer les réactions de la petite amie de Jake, de la mère de Leah et leurs propres sentiments.
