The Good, The Bad, The Hungry (2019)
« Le bon, la brute et le gourmand » raconte l'histoire de Takeru Kobayashi, un Japonais de Nagano qui a remporté six fois d'affilée le plus célèbre concours de mangeurs de hot-dogs du monde, et celle de Joey Chestnut, le Californien qui a fini par le détrôner en 2007 pour devenir l'emblème de ce sport. Cette histoire à la fois poignante et excentrique explore les origines de la carrière de Kobayashi et de Chestnut, ainsi que leurs duels voraces acharnés et les efforts promotionnels à tous crins de la ligue MLE qui met sur pied ce concours. Il s'agit peut-être d'un sport unique en son genre, mais comme le montre ce film, cette compétition et son impact sur la vie de ces deux hommes sont aussi réels que pour n'importe quel autre sport.
