Causeway (2022)
Au cours d'une mission en Afghanistan, Lynsey, ingénieure dans l'armée, est blessée par un engin explosif. Souffrant de lésions cérébrales, elle retourne aux États-Unis. Elle entame alors une douloureuse et lente guérison au cours de laquelle elle réapprend à marcher et à faire fonctionner sa mémoire, avec le soutien d'une aide-soignante. Lorsqu'elle retourne chez elle à la Nouvelle-Orléans, elle doit faire face à des souvenirs douloureux. Vivant avec sa mère malgré leurs rapports conflictuels, Lynsey ne souhaite qu'une seule chose : retrouver son poste d'ingénieure. Elle fait alors la rencontre de James Aucoin. Petit à petit, ils se soutiennent l'un et l'autre et se tiennent compagnie. James, lui aussi, refoule son passé.
