Arizona, XIXe siècle. Bien que cousins, Grant et Lee se haïssent et se disputent fréquemment. Quand leur oncle engage la cantatrice Lillian pour inaugurer son opéra, la tension ne fait que s'accroitre. Tous deux tombent amoureux de la jeune femme, et sont prêts à tout pour la séduire...
