Stalag 17 (1953)
Dans le Stalag 17, un camp de prisonniers près du Danube, plus de 600 pilotes américains sont incarcérés. Toutefois, l'ambiance est bonne. Les plaisanteries contre les officiers allemands vont bon train, les jeux et paris ne manquent pas. Mais un jour, la tentative d'évasion de Manfredi et de Johnson échoue lamentablement. La trahison ne fait aucun doute. Les Allemands devaient forcément avoir eu connaissance de l'existence du tunnel par lequel les malheureux comptaient prendre la poudre d'escampette. Soudain, l'ambiance se dégrade, tout le monde se surveille et chacun cherche le traître. Les soupçons se portent sur un sergent au caractère cynique, JJ Sefton. À tort ou à raison…?
