L'histoire d'un artiste extraordinaire qui a involontairement signé un pacte avec un diable. Jiří Trnka était l'un des plus grands artistes tchèques du XXe siècle et l'un des fondateurs de l'animation de marionnettes. Son travail a démontré au monde que la société communiste peut offrir de meilleures conditions pour des créations artistiques extraordinaires. L'affrontement idéologique entre l'Ouest et l'Est n'a pas laissé les enfants et leurs histoires en dehors de leur lutte dans des positions idéologiques et politiques.
