Le Dernier bus (2021)
Depuis 50 ans, Tom habite un village reculé tout au nord de l’Écosse. Mais maintenant, cet homme de 90 ans se met en route pour un long voyage en bus de ligne, à destination de Land’s End, l’extrême pointe du sud-ouest de la Grande-Bretagne, son lieu de naissance. Son épouse bien-aimée est décédée et il lui a promis de ramener ses cendres là où ils se sont rencontrés, où ils sont tombés amoureux. Avec une bonne dose de courage, d’optimisme et de spontanéité, il affronte sa propre vulnérabilité. Jusque-là, la Grande-Bretagne moderne aux mille visages lui était inconnue. Elle lui réservera bon nombre d’aventures et de rencontres enrichissantes. « The Last Bus » est un road movie qui fait chaud au cœur car il rappelle au public que nous sommes tous d’une manière ou d’une autre en route…
