Beyond the Sea (2004)
Beyond The Sea retrace la vie du crooner américain Bobby Darin. Durant les années 50, il enregistra les chansons My First Love, Dream Lover, Mack The Knife ou encore Queen Of The Hope et Things. Souffrant d’une grave maladie du coeur depuis l’enfance, les médecins lui avaient prédit une espérance de vie de 15 ans. Mais sa mère, Polly, lui insuffle le goût du music-hall, de la musique du chant et la scène, qui se transforme vite en passion. Le talent et son inspiration lui donnent le courage de se battre pour devenir » plus grand que Sinatra « . Il devient un des crooners les plus célèbres aux Etats-Unis en alignant les hits puis commence une carrière à Hollywood où il rencontre une jeune actrice prometteuse : Sandra Lee. Il décède en 1973 lors d’une opération chirurgicale à coeur ouvert.
