Alexis Manigo est une jeune adolescente comme les autres, ou presque. Alors qu'elle supplie sa mère de lui permettre d'avoir un boulot, celle-ci lui révèle qu'elle l'a enlevée, le jour de sa naissance, à sa mère biologique, dans une maternité de Floride.
