Une adoption dangereuse (2020)
Nikki, jeune photographe célibataire, apprend que sa sœur, dont elle avait été séparée depuis l’enfance, vient de mourir et lui laisse la garde de sa fille adoptive, Zoé. Elle décide donc de déménager à Los Angeles pour s’occuper de Zoé. A son arrivée, elle se trouve nez à nez avec Corey, le mari de sa sœur, qui est furieux de perdre à la fois la garde de Zoé et l’héritage de son épouse décédée. Nikki fait aussi la connaissance d’April, qui gère le magasin de fleurs de sa sœur. Très vite, la voisine qui se dit en possession d’informations sur Corey, meurt dans des circonstances suspectes. Nikki découvre que Corey trompait sa femme et que celle-ci avait l’intention de divorcer. L’aurait-il tuée pour hériter de sa fortune ?
