Le retour de Rick Hunter (1995)
La fiancée de Rick Hunter, un policier, vient d'être assassinée. Tous les soupçons se portent sur son ancien mari, déjà connu des services de police pour violences conjugales. Mais Hunter, peu convaincu par cette hypothèse pourtant plausible, mène ses propres investigations. Elles le conduisent vers un escroc qui aurait eu intérêt, pour des raisons encore troubles, à faire disparaître la jeune femme, devenue trop gênante. Hunter, contre l'avis de tous, tente d'innocenter l'ancien époux. Les passions se déchaînent et personne ne comprend son attitude. Le seul moyen pour lui de sauver l'ex-mari reste de trouver la preuve qui accusera, de manière incontestable, le véritable meurtrier...
