Amy Thompson, le combat d'une mère (2020)
Après une soirée entre amis pour fêter leur diplôme de fin d’études, Amy, une brillante étudiante en droit, se fait violer par Dimitri, une vague connaissance. Elle tombe enceinte de son violeur. Contre toute attente et malgré les réticences de sa mère et de ses amis, Amy décide de garder l’enfant. Bien qu’elle ait immédiatement porté plainte contre son violeur, Amy ne parvient pas à apporter la preuve de sa culpabilité et se rend assez vite compte que le combat juridique risque d’être extrêmement long. Découragée par les lenteurs administratives et effrayée par les intimidations permanentes de Dimitri pour qu’elle retire sa plainte, Amy décide de déménager. Les années passent et Amy coule une vie tranquille avec sa fille, Maddy. Un jour, elle reçoit un courrier lui apprenant que Dimitri demande à pouvoir bénéficier de tous ses droits parentaux.
