À rebours des conventions sociales imposées aux femmes de son temps, Lee Miller (1907-1977) a vécu mille vies: Mannequin devenue photographe puis reporter de guerre qui a défié quiconque a tenté de la coincer, de la mettre sur un piédestal ou de la cataloguer de quelque façon que ce soit. Le portrait fouillé d’une artiste aussi à l’aise devant que derrière l’objectif.
