Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson, Waylon Jennings et Kris Kristofferson mettent en commun leurs talents et leur sens du spectacle dans The Highwaymen: On the Road Again , interprétant certains de leurs plus grands succès. Dans le spectacle d'une heure, Cash chante le classique "Folsom Prison Blues", Nelson chante "Always on My Mind", Jennings propose "Luckenbach, Texas", et Kristofferson fait une interprétation de son "Help Me Make Through the Night".
