La vengeance du docteur Joyce (1947)
Un brillant neurochirurgien débute une relation amoureuse avec la mère d'une de ses jeunes patientes. Hélas, le bonheur est éphémère car le corps défenestré de la jeune maman est retrouvé peu de temps après. La police conclut au suicide mais le docteur n'y croit et soupçonne sa belle-sœur de ce meurtre. Il découvre rapidement qu'il a raison et se retrouve alors face à un choix cornélien : se venger ou la dénoncer.
