The Tattered Dress (1957)
Après une nuit de folie, Charleen, l'épouse adultère du riche Michael Reston, rentre à la maison, son jeune corps mûr à peine dissimulé par une robe en guenilles ; un meurtre s'ensuit. Le meilleur avocat de la défense, J.G. Blane, dont le mariage n'existe que de nom, arrive à Desert View, au Nevada, et trouve les habitants de la ville et le shérif Hoak, très puissant sur le plan politique, nettement hostiles aux Reston. En temps voulu, Blane découvre qu'il a été "mené en bateau" et que les communautés tranquilles du désert peuvent être mortelles...
