Haley Longford, une adolescente atteinte de troubles de gestions de la colère, est accusée du meurtre d’Abby Harris, sa meilleure amie. Sa mère, Michelle, et son avocat, Luke, font tout pour l’innocenter, mais les preuves s’accumulent. Quand Gina Jones, qui entraîne l’équipe d’atlétisme est assassinée à son tour, les soupçons se portent tout de suite sur Haley, qui est déterminée à découvrir qui tente de la piéger.
