Highlander, le retour (1991)
En 1999, Connor MacLeod conçoit un gigantesque bouclier qui a pour objectif de protéger la terre des rayons du soleil, la couche d'ozone ayant disparue. Ce bouclier est géré par une très puissante société asservissant l'humanité. En 2024, deux immortels sont envoyés sur terre par le général Katana pour tuer MacLeod. Ce dernier parvient à décapiter les deux sbires, ce qui lui permet à la fois de retrouver son immortalité et de ressusciter Ramirez, son ancien ami mort quatre siècles plus tôt. Katana décide donc de se charger lui-même de tuer MacLeod et Ramirez. Parallèlement à cette lutte acharnée, les deux héros apprennent que la couche d'ozone s'est reformée, et vont également devoir faire face à cette mystérieuse compagnie qui exploite les hommes pour s'enrichir.
