Les hauts et les bas de la vie d'Alan Turing, le suivi de ses réalisations extraordinaires, sa persécution du gouvernement jusqu'à sa mort tragique en 1954. Au cours des 18 derniers mois de sa courte vie, Turing a visité un psychiatre, le Dr Franz Greenbaum, qui a essayé de l'aider. Chaque séance de thérapie dans ce drame documentaire est basé sur des événements réels. Les conversations entre Turing et Greenbaum explorent les moments marquants de sa vie controversée et examinent les pressions qui peuvent avoir contribué à sa mort prématurée.
