Veuf, Tim Lasky est le père attentionné d'Annabelle et Gabriella, deux jumelles qui vont avoir 17 ans. Par ailleurs, elles jouent dans l'équipe de football dont il est le coach. Les jumelles vont bientôt quitter l'Etat pour aller faire leurs études loin de leur père et elles passent une annonce sur un site de rencontres pour que ce dernier trouve une seconde chance en amour.
