Solomon and Gaenor (1999)
En 1911, dans une vallée minière du Sud du Pays de Galles rongée par les tensions sociales et la montée de l'antisémitisme, Solomon Levinsky, un jeune colporteur juif orthodoxe, cache son identité pour exercer son métier. Lorsqu'il s'éprend passionnément de Gaenor, une jeune femme issue d'une famille galloise protestante traditionnelle, il choisit de lui taire ses origines et se fait passer pour un Anglais nommé Sam. Tandis que leur romance clandestine s'intensifie, le poids de ce mensonge, l'intolérance de leurs familles respectives et l'hostilité de leurs communautés menacent de détruire leur amour.
