Éclipsé par le Sun, le quotidien le plus populaire et le plus vendu de San Francisco, ce journal compte malgré tout une base d'abonnés fidèles. Lorsque le Sun le rachète, Liz découvre que c'est dans l'intention de le faire couler. Elle décide alors de tout faire pour le sauver.
