Appointment with Fear (1985)
Après avoir caché un paquet dans les buissons qui entourent sa maison, une femme s'assied sur le seuil. Un homme surgit, s'assied à côté d'elle et lui plante un couteau dans le flanc. Il se lève et disparaît. De l'autre côté de la rue, un groupe d'amies fête un anniversaire. Une de ces femmes vient recueillir les derniers mots de la mourante. Elle lui demande de prendre soin du bébé qui est dans le paquet qu'elle a caché. A l'hôpital voisin, l'inspecteur Kowalsky se rend au quartier de haute sécurité où repose un corps plongé dans le coma, celui du meurtrier. Il se surnomme lui-même "Attis, le Roi des Forêts". Pour lui, le meurtre du bébé fait partie d'un rituel magique. Le soir même, les femmes qui ont recueilli le bébé se retrouvent dans une party. Le meurtrier, ou son esprit, est déjà là. L'horreur va commencer.
